Know what to shoot next
For content studios planning a product demo, launch film or marketing short. Bring product facts, your audience, target duration, language, call to action and available assets. Get an editable plan for your editor or production agent.
Unzip into your project’s .agents/skills directory, then ask your agent to read product-video-plan/SKILL.md. Use a directory without an existing copy on your first try to preserve local edits. A system archive utility also works. This release is not published to npm.
What you get
plan.md: opening options, selection rationale, narration, shot actions and transitions.plan.json: continuous shot timing, fact references, asset status and production readiness.- A clear list of missing assets and unconfirmed information.
- Two worked examples, in English and Chinese, plus a Node.js structure validator.
This Skill does not render an MP4, generate a voice track or predict engagement. Planning does not require an editing app or media API. Your agent’s model costs are separate. The validator requires Node.js 18 or later.
Inspect the examples
Alder Coffee — English, 30-second plan. A fictional product example built around one continuous drink-making action: one part concentrate and two parts water. Unsupported energy claims are excluded. This is a controlled example, not a customer project or product recommendation.
FeedSkills — Chinese, 24-second plan. Our own product example connects input facts to script actions and missing assets. It still needs screen recordings and narration, so its readiness is explicitly marked as a draft.
Installation and file validation have been tested. An explicit Skill-loading trial in Codex CLI 0.160.0 produced and validated a new plan in a fresh project directory. This covers one local host setup; automatic discovery and other agents remain unverified. These examples demonstrate the output structure and factual boundaries. They do not establish customer adoption, time savings or consistent quality across all agents.

Use it with your agent
Ask your agent to read .agents/skills/product-video-plan/SKILL.md, then provide your brief and product materials. Missing assets do not prevent a planning draft; the output should explain what is still needed.
The examples/coffee-en/ and examples/feedskills-zh/ folders each include brief.md, plan.json and plan.md. Inspect an example, then replace its inputs with your own.
Revise and check
When product facts or narration change, review the affected shots, screen text and call to action. Recheck timing against the actual voice recording when it exists. The included validator checks structure, timing continuity and references; creative and factual review still requires human judgment.
This is an original FeedSkills planning workflow and validator. External reference videos and third-party prompt collections are not included in the download.
