Mid-century Toon Feed

A practical 9:16 follow-along guide in a 1950s printed-cartoon language: a geometric person uses real hands to set up a paper planner or tame a desk cable.

What you get

  • 1080×1920 / 30 fps MP4 (15–60 s), cover image, burned captions, SRT and layout.json

  • Original person plus real planner or cable-clip hand actions, step medallions and paper caption cards
  • Local Kokoro English narration and scene-level cache invalidation
  • Self-contained source with upstream notices and a written visual contract

You will need

  • A practical topic with verified steps and a short English narration

  • A local Kokoro environment for the default voice
  • Review your rendered video for readable text, timing and source accuracy.

Good fit

  • Follow-along desk and home setup guides
  • Paper planning and analogue routines
  • Low-risk cable and workspace organisation
  • Generic illustrated product setup where the user supplies the exact product

Not for

  • Whiteboard, Swiss grid, rubber-hose or text-only card sequences
  • Safety-critical, medical, electrical or device-specific instructions without verified facts
  • Automatic social posting or bundled music

You say

“Use Mid-century Toon Feed for a practical vertical follow-along guide. Confirm the steps and facts first, draw an original geometric person and visible props, narrate with local Kokoro, measure every semantic SVG node, then render only after the review gate.”

After installing, say something like this to your agent with your own topic and assets. It asks only for what is missing.

Details

Two vertical examples

Mid-century Toon Feed makes practical follow-along guides in a printed-cartoon language, with an original geometric person and visible hand actions. The supplied A/B films demonstrate the format with English local narration.

Make a practical setup guide

Start from an included brief and work in a new project directory outside the installed Skill. Supply verified steps for the exact product or routine, use original illustrated people and props, and keep safety-critical, medical, electrical and device-specific instructions out unless their facts are checked. Render locally with Kokoro narration. Outputs include MP4, cover, burned captions, SRT, measured layout and a render report.

The bundled examples are generic planner and desk-cable studies, not instructions for a particular product. Replace the brief and verify the real steps before delivery.

Access, dependencies and credit

This is a Members Skill. An active Founding Membership is required; this page provides sample previews only. The package needs Node.js 22+, FFmpeg/FFprobe, HyperFrames 0.8.181, a local Kokoro environment and the bundled B612 and Architects Daughter fonts under SIL OFL 1.1.

LemoLab’s midcentury-toon grammar at pinned commit 413a6bd6d78ebd3bdd5abaec9538a26867f890df supplies the MIT source grammar. The package does not distribute the upstream film or still; it keeps the pinned MIT notice and its own FeedSkills Source-Available License. Read STYLE.md, references/source-map.md and THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md before adapting it.
